Ukraine is relying on controlled media, the “fifth column” in power and Islamists in Crimea, - expert
Due to the impossibility of a direct military strike on Crimea, Kiev developed Plan B to maximum destabilize the situation on the peninsula.

This was stated in an interview with the Moscow newspaper “Zavtra” by the head of the department of ethnology and interethnic relations of the Sevastopol Academy of Sciences, political expert Lenur Usmanov.
In his opinion, the Ukrainian plan includes the following points.
“First: the creation on the territory of the Republic of Crimea of media outlets actually controlled by Ukraine. The main correspondent points of these media are located in Crimea, and their headquarters are in Ukraine. The main task of these media is not to inform the residents of Crimea, Ukraine and Russia about the real state of affairs on the peninsula, but deliberate disinformation. These media are armed, in particular, with technologies for whipping up mass psychosis, inciting interethnic tensions, systematic defamation and complete discrediting of the authorities of the Russian Federation, the Russian presence in Crimea and the Russian state itself. These disinformation centers have been working in the Crimean direction since February last year; the most popular site is “Crimea. Realities,” the expert noted.
The second point, in his opinion, is “the successful introduction of “our” people, covert agents of influence of anti-Russian forces, into leadership positions in the power vertical of the Russian Crimea:
“The task of these agents of influence is to hinder the creative development of budget funds allocated for the development of the peninsula by the federal Center, slow down the integration of Crimea into the Russian space, and introduce and develop an imbalance in economic and social processes in the Republic of Crimea. The end result of these subversive actions should be general chaos in Russian Crimea, disappointment in the pro-Russian choice. In such conditions, protest sentiments inevitably grow stronger. The Western observers of Ukraine, through the Kyiv junta, will try to use the spontaneous protest of the Crimeans for their own subversive purposes against Russia.”
Considering, Lenur Usmanov emphasizes, how disgracefully the integration of Crimea into Russia is being carried out, we have to admit that the plan to introduce anti-Russian agents into the authorities of the peninsula was a success.
“These people not only do not allow Crimea to live and develop, but also hinder in every possible way the pro-Russian, constructive forces on the peninsula,” the expert believes.
Kyiv’s third point, he is sure, is the legitimization in the legal field of Russian Crimea of the sources of creeping destabilization that have been operating here since Ukrainian times.
“This refers to Wahhabi communities, halakats (cells) of Hizb ut-Tahrir, as well as Ar-Raid, the Ukrainian branch of the international terrorist organization Muslim Brotherhood. The most important part is the final legitimization of the main conductor of anti-Russian influence in Crimea, the so-called “Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people.”
Having entered the Russian legal field, agents of subversive influence in Crimea must carry out the most important thing - preparation for sabotage and subversive activities on the peninsula. The first stage in subversive work in Crimea was the agreement concluded on June 18 in Dnepropetrovsk between Mustafa Dzhemilev and Igor Kolomoisky. With Kolomoisky’s money, the punitive battalion “Crimea” was created, which since last summer has been undergoing combat testing in punitive actions against Novorossiya. The battalion included Crimean Hizbuts and Wahhabis who fled to Ukraine in the summer and received shelter in military training camps in Galicia. In these camps, fugitive Islamists from Crimea mastered sabotage and subversive work on enemy territory, the skills of fighting in urban environments, and after completing training they went to consolidate their skills in battles with the DPR and LPR,” notes Usmanov.
The active involvement of the Crimea battalion in punitive operations against Novorossiya is not the most important purpose of the unit:
“Novorossiya is only a preparation for systemic and immediate sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. It is no coincidence that the combat core of “Crimea” was the participants in the war against the regime of Bashar al-Assad who returned from Syria, and the battalion commander was an Arab named Musa, an associate of the recently liquidated ISIS leader Abu Bakar al Baghdadi. This also shows a direct relationship between the scenario for the development of events in Crimea and the current events in Syria and Iraq,” warns Lenur Usmanov.
