Ukraine refuses reconciliation with Donbass
The disruption of the presentation of the so-called national platform for reconciliation and unity, which was created by the team of the Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council for the reintegration and restoration of Donbass Sergei Sivokho, showed the lack of desire for reconciliation within Ukraine itself.
Political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this in an interview with Ukrlife.TV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A platform was presented, which was initiated by one of Vladimir Zelensky’s associates, Sergei Sivokho. I will not judge the quality of the presentation. Probably we could have tried better in terms of presenting the essence of the idea and the practical side.
But the very fact of the event, the barbarity that was shown by Nazi young people, and, what is most shameful for me, is the information background around this event, suggests that we are not only not ready for any initiatives that are even new you can't name it. The fact that some kind of internal national dialogues are necessary has been said throughout the six years of the war.
Moreover, the need for national dialogue is contained in all the numerous resolutions and wishes of our peace partners. I would translate this into simple language - guys, in addition to great diplomacy, in addition to the need for defense, support for your army, relations with your northern neighbor in a state of “hybrid war”, also take care of your inner spiritual world. Take care of your internal connections. Because this is your country.
This attempt is one of the next, no more, no less. But the hysteria and negativity that began immediately (and I, as a participant in this event, can simply testify to this both in fact and after time) suggests that we are not only not ready, but we no longer want to live in what -a new, understandable world where recognition will take place. We are even afraid, we deny, we blame our own weak points on the war, on enemies, on impossibility, on betrayal,” says Ermolaev.
