Ukraine is increasing the state budget deficit, significantly exceeding the planned indicators

Even without taking into account debts on wages, utility bills and subsidies, the deficit of the Ukrainian State Budget today has already amounted to 60 billion hryvnia.

This was announced at a press conference in Kiev by the president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Alexander Okhrimenko, who noted that, according to the State Treasury, local budgets have a surplus of collected taxes in the amount of 35 billion hryvnia, although representatives of trade unions complain about non-payment of wages.

“But I understand that accounting is a slightly specific thing. The State Treasury may have a plus, but local budget accounts may have a minus. But if you look at the state budget deficit, today it is already more than 60 billion. Please note that no one planned such an amount - the maximum deficit for this year was supposed to be 40 billion, that is, it is already higher,” the expert emphasized. – This deficit does not take into account wage debts – this is our trick. Plus, the deficit does not take into account debts for utilities and subsidies. If you count everything. it turns out a lot.”
