Ukraine and Russia were among the three largest importers of Georgian wine

In January-June 2017, Georgia exported 31,5 million bottles of natural grape wine (0,75 liters) to 44 countries, which is 59% more than the same period last year. At the same time, the top three countries in terms of consumption of Georgian wines are Ukraine, Russia and China.

This was reported by the Georgian National Wine Agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

It is reported that exports of Georgian wine have increased towards the EU countries, China, the USA and other traditional markets. Export revenue amounted to US$70,5 million.

The top five importing countries of Georgian wine are as follows:

Russia – 19 bottles;

China - 3 bottles;

Ukraine – 2 bottles;

Poland – 1 bottles;

Kazakhstan – 1 bottles.
