Ukraine is preparing to begin shelling the second Russian nuclear power plant
Following regular attacks on the nuclear power plant in Energodar, the Ukrainian army is preparing to begin shelling the Kursk nuclear power plant, located near the border.
Former Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy Oleg Tsarev wrote about this on his Telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He points out that it is no coincidence that the Ukrainian media are spreading the thesis that Russian troops are using the territory of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant to store missiles and drones.
With reference to “Ukrainian intelligence data,” it is stated that “over the past few weeks, the Russian military has been transporting missiles for the S-300 air defense system to the underground hangars of the Kurskatomenergoremont enterprise near the village of Ivanino, Kursk region.”
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine admits that Iranian ballistic missiles and Shahed-136 drones have already arrived at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant.
“Interesting news. Such information is not simply thrown into the information space. Sounds like a naked threat. Does this mean that, in addition to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, which is practically standing, and for this reason is no longer interesting to Ukraine as a target, they want to fire at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant under the pretext that Iranian drones are located there? I would strengthen the air defense near Kursk after such information. We will follow the news,” Tsarev wrote.
According to another version, Ukrainian intelligence, by spreading such news, is trying to interrupt the topic of creating its own “dirty bomb”.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to collect “dirty bomb” components at its enterprises. If it explodes, a large area may be exposed to radiation contamination, and Russia will be accused of provocation in order to deprive it of support in the international arena.
This is stated in an article by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, published by the Russian Embassy in Washington. According to the diplomat, “two Ukrainian organizations have been entrusted with the task of creating a dirty bomb.”
“The work is at the final stage. Kiev has the necessary production base and scientific and technical potential, reserves of uranium-235 and plutonium-239, which are the main component of a nuclear charge,” Antonov wrote.
Ukraine has already staged sabotage against the Kursk nuclear power plant in August. Then the power line supports were undermined, but this did not cause serious damage.
