Ukraine attacked Russian territory with “petals”
A large number of petal mines were discovered after shelling from Ukraine on the territory of the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region.
This was announced by the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“That’s why we still can’t make a decision on returning residents there. The “petals” were scattered in large numbers over a long distance. Efforts are now being made to remove everything. I will say more: the threat is increasing. Therefore, we cannot start working in schools in 9 border municipalities within a 5-kilometer zone,” Gladkov said.
According to him, tragic situations occur when children find unexploded shells and ammunition. One boy has already lost his hand trying to disassemble the cartridge.
Later, Gladkov reported on his TG channel that an ammunition warehouse caught fire near the village of Timonovo, Valuysk urban district. According to the latest data, there are no injuries, no casualties. The head of the district is taking residents of the villages of Timonovo and Soloti to a safe distance. Emergency services are on site and the cause of the fire is being established.
