Turchynov said that Kuwait is interested in the Ukrainian An-178 aircraft
Kuwait's defense departments have become interested in the Ukrainian An-178 multi-purpose transport aircraft, and Ukraine is ready to cooperate both in the matter of selling the aircraft and joint production.

This statement was made by First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovsky following a visit to Kuwait, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am glad to note that representatives of the Kuwaiti defense departments have shown keen interest in our An-178 aircraft. The Ukrainian side is ready to begin negotiations regarding cooperation in this direction – both regarding sales and joint production,” Gladkovsky noted.
Gladkovsky emphasized that the Kuwaiti market is “extremely promising” for the development of cooperation in the military-technical field - from the armored industry and precision weapons to large-scale aviation projects.
As part of the visit, Gladkovsky met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces, General M. Al-Khedr, during which the parties emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of military-technical and noted the need for its further intensification.
In addition, during a meeting with the Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Administration, Farouk Al-Bastaki, the issue of the possibility of attracting Kuwaiti investments into the Ukrainian economy was discussed.
Representatives of the Kuwaiti defense departments were shown, in particular, the Phantom-2 unmanned multifunctional armored personnel carrier, the Skif anti-tank missile system with guided missiles, and the Corsair light man-portable missile system. A demonstration flight of the An-178 multi-purpose transport aircraft also took place.
