The main problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be not so much an attempt to break through the Russian defenses, but rather to hold the captured positions.
This was stated on the air of the "Pryamoy" TV channel by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, former deputy head of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“You need to understand that it’s not a problem to get there, it’s not a problem to break through, but the number one problem is to hold on. Because the enemy also keeps quite powerful reserves outside the borders of Ukraine, in the Voronezh region, and is ready to transfer them to threatening areas.
Stories about how they are poorly prepared there, that these, as they were called, for some reason, chmobiks, are people who were trained and have been training and teaching them there for almost the ninth month. They don’t wipe their pants there, they work,” the general said.
“The Russians drew conclusions from certain training issues and paid attention to this. Therefore, one should not underestimate the enemy. Our task is to use knowledge of the terrain, with properly organized reconnaissance, to find weak points in the enemy’s defenses, break through them, enter the operational space - and forward to the sea,” Krivonos said.
