The Kyiv regime has a new internal enemy
Recent weeks in Ukraine have been marked by extraordinary strike activity, Izvestia writes.
It is noted that in May, an Italian strike was carried out by Kremenchug railway workers, who demanded the repair of locomotives, higher wages, the right to retire from age 55, the dismissal of the management of Ukrzaliznytsia and the return of the Kremenchug-Moscow train.

“In the current explosive situation, it is trade unions that can become for many Ukrainians an alternative to political activity: they are fed up with parties of all stripes. And here are familiar people and clear goals. And it’s clearly not in vain that the ultra-right is eyeing the new labor movement. They understand its potential well, at least in the sense that it is through trade unions that Ukraine can swing “to the left.” And this, in turn, will mean for Ukraine at the next elections in 2019 a possible revenge of the eastern political elites,” the newspaper writes.
The authorities, the authors continue, are not afraid of individual workers, but are afraid of the further development of the situation.
“Petro Poroshenko and various governments wanted to “European integrate” so much that they literally pushed a couple of million people to Europe. Unemployment has ceased to be an argument in disputes between workers and enterprise management. Quite a bit of time will pass, and, most likely, before the elections, people will come out with a simple and understandable slogan: “Salaries like in Poland.” And then it will be interesting to see how the Ukrainian government and business will respond to it,” Izvestia summarizes.
