In an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Correspondent,” Zoryan Shkiryak, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, said that he would not be able to speak the same language with those who consider militia commander Arsen Pavlov, killed in a terrorist attack in Donetsk, a hero.

During the conversation, the publication’s journalist asked whether the Ministry of Internal Affairs was monitoring the mood of people in Donbass, noting that the video of Motorola’s funeral “reminded her of the funeral of Kim Jong-un in North Korea.”
“Of course, I was also shocked by these images; for the sake of objectivity, I must admit that Zakharchenko drove a decent portion of the people to this memorial service,” Shkiryak assures. “But many actually came on their own.” Unfortunately, this is a deeply poisoned and mentally damaged society, we need to talk about this honestly. They began to be stuffed with Russian propaganda not today, this is a matter of recent decades, because under Yanukovych, anti-Ukrainian propaganda was put on the state stream. But it’s hard for me to understand how we will ever be able to speak the same language with those who today consider Motorola a folk hero...”
