Avakov thinks that Russia is mining Ukrainian airports
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has received reports of mining of infrastructure facilities on election day, and the ministry associates this with sabotage activities on the part of Russia.
Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ivan Varchenko announced this at a briefing in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is activity on the part of the DPR and Russia in mining on the Ukrainian-controlled territory of social infrastructure facilities and objects with concentrations of citizens - airports, shopping centers. We understand that the roots of these messages lead to the occupied territories. From there they are carried out. We were preparing for such an opportunity, we understood that the enemy would use every opportunity. Our explosives experts are now working, studying each such situation,” he said.
“We have jokers who tried to talk about mining in some areas; there was such a joker in Dnepropetrovsk. We remind citizens of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine about false reports about mining of objects. You can go to jail and receive up to 8 years in prison. Therefore, let’s not joke about things that could have a bad influence on other citizens, let’s refrain from such jokes,” added Ivan Varchenko.
