Aliyev's three European deputies were put on the wanted list for attending the referendum in Karabakh
Azerbaijan has put three members of the European Parliament on the international wanted list on charges of “multiple illegal entries into the occupied territories” of the country, by which in Baku they mean Nagorno-Karabakh, which was abandoned in the early 90s and was populated predominantly by Armenians.

We are talking about MPs Frank Engel from Luxembourg, Helena Theocharus from Cyprus and Jaromir Stetin from the Czech Republic, who visited Nagorno-Karabakh on Monday as observers in a referendum on a new constitution for the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
Jaromir Stetina, in an interview with Czech television, called Baku’s actions “a reward for its actions in defense of democracy.”
However, the referendum was not recognized by the OSCE Minsk Group, which includes the United States, Russia and France.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a statement declaring its non-recognition of the Karabakh referendum, calling it "so-called."
