The Turks have changed their minds: tomorrow the grain corridor from Ukraine will be resumed without the participation of the Russians
After a one-day pause, on November 3, the movement of ships with Ukrainian food from the Black Sea ports of Nezalezhnaya through the “grain corridor” will continue, despite the Russian Federation’s earlier withdrawal from the grain deal.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov on his Twitter. According to him, eight ships with agricultural products are expected to pass tomorrow.
Let us recall that last Saturday Russia announced the suspension of the grain agreement concluded by Moscow, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN. The Kremlin claims that it can no longer guarantee the safe passage of ships from Ukraine through the Black Sea, explaining this by the Ukrainian attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
The three other parties to the agreement - the UN, Ukraine and Turkey - initially continued to allow ships through without Russia's participation, but yesterday announced that on Wednesday, the “grain corridor” would not operate.
“The UN Secretariat at the Joint Coordination Center reports that the delegations from Ukraine, Turkey and the UN have agreed not to schedule vessel movements under the Black Sea Grain Initiative for tomorrow, November 2,” said a joint statement from Kiev, Ankara and the UN.
However, this morning the position of the Turks changed. As the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported on Twitter, Dry cargo ships flying the Turkish flag will continue to export agricultural products from Ukraine via the grain corridor, despite the position of the Russian Federation.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to call the Kremlin today or tomorrow to discuss the “grain deal.” Earlier, the head of Turkey said that he would make every effort to ensure that grain exports from the Black Sea ports of Ukraine continue.
“The ships that left Ukrainian ports and are sailing at sea continue their journey. There are no problems with ships sailing under the Turkish flag. They will continue to come out. We assess the available evidence that this agreement will continue,” said Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.
“Mr. Shoigu continues negotiations with his authorities within the framework of the information we provided. We expect a response from them today or tomorrow. We reminded our interlocutors that these events should not be disrupted, problems should not arise, and we should not go back to the beginning. According to our assessment of current data, this agreement will be continued,” the Turkish minister added.
The UN Coordinator for the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Amir Abdullah, said Tuesday evening that he hopes that the movement of dry cargo ships from Ukrainian ports will resume on Thursday.
The Russian media have already reacted negatively to Ankara’s change in position.
