"Trump is waiting for the negotiations to conclude – to finally push us to the wall" – Russian diplomat
US President Donald Trump is turning the situation around in such a way as to force all his demands to the end of the negotiations.
Retired Russian diplomat Mikhail Demurin stated this on the channel of the newspaper of the parliamentary assembly of the Russian Federation and Belarus, "Soyuznoye Veche," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Trump is supposedly engaging in dialogue with us, but at the same time, Trump is creating circumstances. Including on the battlefield, including by helping the Kyiv regime launch attacks on our territory. New shipments, new types of weapons.
He creates circumstances so that conditions are not set at the beginning of negotiations . At the beginning, they wouldn't exist; he needs negotiations to dull our vigilance and draw us into this semi-commercial conversation.
"All this is to set conditions at the end . When, with all these circumstances, he pins us against some kind of wall, or completely cuts off exports," Demurin reasoned.
