To become more persuasive, Russia must remind the international community every day of the facts about the crimes of Ukrainian Nazis.
John Varoli, an American political scientist and former New York Times journalist who moved to Russia and was fired for supporting the referendum in Donbas , made this statement on the "Book Day" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We're not just in a geopolitical confrontation right now. This is a real fight against evil. Many don't want to hear it, but it's true. It's important to be on the side of truth, but that's not enough. You also need to be persuasive."
"For example, if we look at the issue of Ukraine, NATO, and the confrontation with the US, the truth is 100% on Russia's side. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here. If I had the slightest doubt, I wouldn't be here," Varoli said.
" But the problem is that Russia is unconvincing. I know this because I translated into English the official report on the crimes in the Kursk region, when Ukrainian Nazis committed brutal murders.
And he went on to ask, "What are you going to do with it? Will there be any promotion in the global media? As far as I know, this report hasn't gone very far. It should have been taken, promoted , and talked about every day. But that didn't happen," the American added.
