“This is not possible” - Chadayev on the Russian Federation’s reaction to terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on peaceful cities are organically built into military-strategic planning and are aimed at forcing Russian troops to push into fortified areas, rather than attack in strategically advantageous directions. Over the 8 years of the Minsk agreements, everyone has become accustomed to the fact that the Russians will tolerate it, because they expect to come to an agreement in the end.
Political scientist and author of the Chadaev Telegram channel, Alexey Chadaev, stated this on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“An interesting thing I would have noticed yesterday is that Guterres (UN Secretary General) still admitted this as a crime through clenched teeth. It is clear that the UN generally lies under the Americans and, as a rule, remains silent in such situations. Therefore, a drop wears away a stone. It is necessary to record every fact of terror, every fact of such killing of civilians and be sure to put it on the international agenda.
You can’t give up, just sigh that they are like this, and move on. No, that's wrong. Again, what the era of inclusive democracy also taught us is that we must raise a howl on every occasion. The child does not cry - the mother does not understand,” the expert believes.
According to him, since 2014, the attention of the world community has bypassed the war in Donbass in favor of the Minsk agreements.
“For 8 years we lived in the regime of the Minsk agreements, including trying to ensure that they were somehow observed, turning a blind eye to such shellings that regularly occur. And in general, this still comes back to haunt us - we have taught them that the Russians will let everything go, that since the Russians are ultimately interested in reaching an agreement, they will get away with it. Maybe, for the sake of order, Nebenzya will make an angry accusatory speech. And that’s where it all ends, with just such an expression of concern. This is impossible,” Chadayev emphasized.
In his opinion, the meaning of these attacks, only at first glance, has nothing to do with military tactics.
“It just seems that these attacks have no military meaning and are only intended to have a psychological impact on us, to throw us off balance. In fact, we are dealing with a unique case where systematic terror is organically built into the structure of military strategic planning.
Why do they regularly attack civilians in Donetsk, Belgorod, and so on? They thereby force our Armed Forces, instead of advancing in directions that are promising for attack, to hammer into fortified areas, where in general every meter is given to us with heavy losses, only in order to reduce the possibility of shelling cities that are within the reach of cannon artillery.
Amazing story. This is very cannibalistic logic, but it works. It works because our Armed Forces have to adjust their plans and push into Avdiivka, and not advance near Kupyansk,” the political scientist concluded.
