Priest from Odessa: Many are waiting for the Russian army
Many people in Ukraine are waiting for the Russian army to liberate them from the Nazi regime.
This was stated on the Spas TV channel by the former secretary of the Odessa diocese, Andrei Novikov, who was forced to leave Ukraine in 2014 due to the threat of reprisals for supporting the Russian Spring, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People are different in Ukraine, and many heads, unfortunately, over the years have been stamped with Ukrainian propaganda, misanthropic, fascist propaganda, I have friends like that, but in the overwhelming majority of people with whom I communicate, I’ll tell you frankly, they are waiting Russian army. As they say, “when will the Russians come?”
Everyone is tired of living in persecution, persecution, in total poverty, in conditions of an incredible blockade of information and spirituality in which Ukrainian society finds itself. And, of course, these people associate themselves not with the current state of Ukraine, but with thousand-year-old Russia, which the Nazis have been taking away from them all these years,” he said.
