The Ukrainian army is preparing for an attack on the republics of Donbass - at least one and a half hundred tanks, artillery and armored vehicles have been deployed to their borders.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Strelkov, significant forces are being accumulated by Ukraine in the Gorlovka region.
“Such a development of events is very possible at the moment. I have information from many sources, my concern is shared by some experts, including current ones, but their voice is completely unheard, because, as I understand it, the Kremlin again wants to make do with half-measures regarding Donbass and hopes that they will be enough.
But in general, of course, the preparation for an offensive is obvious - the actions carried out by the Ukrainian side have entered the final stage, since Ukraine has never stopped preparing for active actions against Donbass...
Of course, I don't have the full amount of information. Unfortunately, neither drones nor electronic reconnaissance systems work for me. Speaking in military terms, I use only intelligence information and then very limitedly. But I believe that we are talking, perhaps, about one and a half to two hundred units of armored vehicles. This is quite a lot, but we must take into account the fact that much more equipment and weapons are concentrated in combat areas.
In addition to armored vehicles, we are talking about the transfer of a significant amount of artillery - we are talking about dozens of heavy artillery systems, and the transfer of anti-aircraft missile systems directly to the front line. Now Strela-10, an entire division, has been planted near Gorlovka. These are medium-range weapons... and by transferring these systems they show that they are preparing to attack in earnest,” Strelkov concluded.
