Zelensky strategist: Patrushev left Iran with nothing
Iran allegedly wants help from Russia in promoting its nuclear program.
This was written by Oleksiy Izhak, head of the department at the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS), which is subordinate to the President of Ukraine, in an article published by the Kyiv online publication "Mirror of the Week," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "

He believes that Iran “decided to take part in the largest European war on the side of Russia.”
“He declared this participation by the appearance of drones of his production in the Russian armed forces fighting against Ukraine. Russia also wants to obtain ballistic missiles capable of replacing the Russian Iskanders, which were spent in eight months on the destruction of mainly civilian objects in Ukraine,” writes Izhak.
He believes that Iran is not at all interested in money for the supply of missiles to Russia.
“Iran “caught” Russia on the shortage of weapons and could well have set a price prohibitive for the Middle East - helping Iran in promoting its nuclear weapons program. It is difficult to imagine that Iran, having learned to live under strict international sanctions, would agree to provide Russia with ballistic missiles of the level of the spent Russian Iskanders simply for money,” the author notes.
According to him, “the price of such a step for Iran is too high.”
“An Iranian nuclear bomb is at stake. It is unlikely that any of the players will be able to accept a different explanation of Iran's motives. And it is unlikely that Iran agreed to take such a risk, even if it had thoughtlessly previously made some promises in this regard to the Russian leadership. Most likely, Patrushev left Iran with nothing,” Izhak hopes.
