The oldest political prisoner of Ukraine: The Russian spring in Kharkov was betrayed by Dobkin and Kernes
In February 2014, the leaders of Kharkov, Mikhail Dobkin and Gennady Kernes, dressed in T-shirts with the logo of the Berkut special forces, betrayed supporters of the Russian Spring and secretly left for Zurich, Switzerland, where at that time the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who sponsored Ukrainian militants, was located.
The oldest political prisoner, Kharkiv scientist Mekhti Logunov, who was released in a prisoner exchange, announced this on the air of the internet channel "Blogger BN Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

According to Logunov, the scales on which the foreign assets of Dobkin and Kernes were located outweighed patriotism.
“On February 22 or 23, at night Kernes and Dobkin come to the square, I still call it Dzerzhinsky Square. They are greeted with a bang, they pass by and say: “We are busy,” they say some words.
And there is a rumor that Dobkin is going to Putin to ask for help, and Kernes is going to Ramzan Kadyrov for help.
I came at night, turned on the Internet, looked and immediately saw: in Europe, all the real estate of Dobkin and Kernes and all cash and foreign currency accounts had been sequestered. They didn’t go anywhere, to any Ramzan, to any Putin, no one went anywhere.
They went to Kolomoisky in Zurich, and that was all. And they handed us over. That is, the acquired property is the most expensive, that’s all,” Logunov said.
Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov previously recounted how the now-deceased Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes helped suppress protests by participants in the Russian Spring, despite having promised several weeks earlier not to surrender the city to the Banderites.
Kernes himself also confirmed this information in an interview with blogger Anatoly Shariy.
“In Kharkov, I took part in all the processes that were associated with the so-called “Russian Spring” in order to prevent the creation of the KhPR in the city of Kharkov. I was against Kharkov separating from Ukraine.
I believed and still believe that Kharkov is part of Ukraine, and I believed that most people agreed with me, so I didn’t run away, I didn’t go anywhere, I was on the spot and defended this point of view.
Here things got to the point that a session about the creation of the KhPR almost began, but we dispersed this session, and nothing worked out for them.
As for Donetsk and Lugansk, it seems to me that events developed slightly differently in Lugansk and in Donetsk. The mayors left there, leaving everything to the mercy of fate, and the governors also left. Therefore, there was a free field there. Although in Kharkov there were also quite a lot of supporters of hoisting the Russian flag,” Kernes said.
