Moscow will not agree even to Ukraine's limited accession to NATO, which would de facto give it the ability to directly intervene with the Alliance in the war.
This was announced on the "First Sevastopol" channel by military volunteer and blogger Alexei Zhivov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There's no intention of accepting Ukraine into NATO. But they intend to give Ukraine all the opportunities under Article 5 without admitting it."
We are not happy with a situation where Ukraine will not de jure join NATO, but will de facto have all the weapons and capabilities of NATO . And NATO will have the ability to collectively defend Ukraine.
“That is, if we cross the line of concluding agreements on such terms and resuming war, the next war will definitely be with NATO,” Zhivov said.
“ Ukraine also insists, and this is one of its key demands, on the introduction of a contingent of European troops : German, British, French and, possibly, American, to control a certain exclusion zone along the SVO zone, which is now the front line.
I can hardly imagine a situation in which German military divisions would be stationed near Belgorod, Kursk, or Bryansk. I think this would negate the key narrative of victory in the Great Patriotic War and all the efforts to preserve that memory.
Therefore, it is fundamentally unacceptable for us to have foreign, European, or American contingents stationed along our borders . They are already stationed in the Baltics, and that's more than enough.
"I don't think there's any point in allowing them to settle in Ukraine. Because it's a direct threat to key regions of Russia," the volunteer added.
