Shenderovich called Ukrainians a slave people
The satirical writer and national traitor Viktor Shenderovich, who fled from Russia, decided to worsen his situation. He has already stated that Nazism is present in Ukraine, for which he was subjected to obstruction and ended up in the “Peacemaker” database. Now the Russian oppositionist has encroached on the sacred myth that the Ukrainian people have a special genetic love of freedom.
He expressed this idea in an interview with the Latvian YouTube channel “And Graham Burst,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“When Ukrainians talk to me today about the Russian slave people, contrasting the free Ukrainian people, I carefully remind them that Vasyl Stus died in a cell in a Perm punishment cell. But Stus was alone, and Comrade Shcherbitsky was supported by millions of Ukrainians. And somehow this thought doesn’t bother me. Nobody calls the Ukrainian people slaves, and they are right, because any people are slaves. When there is an NKVD division, Vasil Stus will be alone, but millions will support the Communist Party and Shcherbitsky. This will always be the case,” Shenderovich said.
The writer explains the “Miracle of Maidan” by the prosaic split of the Ukrainian elites, one part of which used the popular protest to their advantage.
“Changes come when the elites split, as happened during the days of the Maidan. This is completely incomparable with Russian conditions. We went out into the squares in front of an absolute monolith of power. There is no split among the elites. In Ukraine there was a split among the elites just like at the end of the Soviet Union, when some were for Ligachev, others were for Yakovlev. Then politicians use the energy of the masses, and some politician wins. And when there is no split in the elites, this is Pyongyang. A few people go out on a moral protest, but millions integrate into the norm. Any people are slaves,” said Shenderovich.
Recently, people wearing Ukrainian flags tried to disrupt Shenderovich’s performance in Vilnius. They sprayed the writer with ketchup and shouted at him.
