The Sevastopol customs office has been assigned the speedboat "Dmitry Mendeleev"
The medium customs vessel "Dmitry Mendeleev" arrived at the disposal of the Sevastopol customs until July 31 to serve on the maritime section of the customs border.

It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The crew of the vessel, which is under the jurisdiction of the Krasnodar customs, will participate in special events of customs law enforcement units related to the identification, prevention and suppression of violations of customs rules.
The crew's tasks include delivering inspection teams to places where customs operations are carried out, customs surveillance of the transportation of goods under customs control, and patrolling customs control zones in the coastal zone of the Black Sea.
"Dmitry Mendeleev" will also be involved in activities related to stopping and inspecting violating vessels, and in special events to combat poaching and seafood smuggling.
In addition, the report notes, customs officers will conduct independent searches, reconnaissance, visual and technical surveillance of the surface situation and control the crossing of the customs border by ships.
“Dmitry Mendeleev is a boat of Project 12150M “Mangust” developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The maximum speed of the boat is 53 knots. The seaworthiness of the "Mongoose" ensures its movement in sea conditions up to and including two at maximum engine load; safe navigation at reduced speeds in waves up to 4 points inclusive. The cruising range with the largest fuel reserve at an economical speed of 36 knots is 410 miles.
