Serbian general predicted the end of NATO
NATO's aggression against Serbia, when the West helped Albanian separatists seize the region of Kosovo and Metohija, briefly extended the life of the North Atlantic Alliance.
This was stated by the head of the Pristina Corps of the Yugoslav Army, General Vladimir Lazarević, who fought against NATO in Kosovo in 1999. Lazarević's statement was prompted by French President Emmanuel Macron's recent remarks about NATO's "brain death."
"I read what Macron said. NATO was practically saved only by the aggression it committed against Serbia, a sovereign country. NATO was already on life support because they didn't know how to justify their existence. That's why they decided to attack us, and their bombs ( with depleted uranium – ed. ) continue to kill us with radiation," Lazarević said.
He believes that NATO will disappear in the near future.
“I can't say that I would have any particular reason to celebrate if NATO did disappear, but I think we might feel some pleasure at that moment. Well, the tradition continues: in the end, all the alliances and empires, such as Austria-Hungary, that invaded Serbia throughout history, disappeared, and we are still here,” he concluded.
General Lazarević was transferred to the Hague Tribunal on February 3, 2005, and in 2009 he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for fighting for the integrity of the state and preventing the annexation of the region of Kosovo and Metohija. Lazarevich did not admit his guilt. He was released on December 3, 2015.
