The ruling party of President Maia Sandu in Moldova, Action and Solidarity, imitates an orientation towards Europe, pursuing the goal of unification (uniri) with Romania.
The leader of the Civil Congress party, Mark Tkachuk, stated this in an interview with TV8, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I don’t believe in the pro-Europeanism of the ruling party. Because this is pure geopolitics. One thought chosen is pro-European, but from the point of view of simply geographical orientation. If we talk about what European integration is, then in the head of the ruling party this idea is translated very simply: Unira. Well, through the European Union somehow, and God be with her, with this Moldova,” Tkachuk said.
He believes that the ruling party is aggravating relations with Transnistria and Gagauzia in order to destabilize the situation in the interests of Romania.
“How many politicians do we have in parliament for the Republic of Moldova? Or are they citizens of Moldova? People who support the Republic of Moldova cannot at the same time be obedient citizens of the neighboring Romanian state.
During a period of foreign policy destabilization and war, they cannot vote for a law on separatism, which destabilizes the situation, provokes a split and incites 270 thousand Moldovan citizens across the Dniester against Chisinau.
People who represent the majority in parliament and supposedly represent the majority cannot introduce special forces into Comrat at the Central Election Commission so that everyone can see how the central government is dealing with the autonomous region, without having any grounds for this,” Tkachuk said.
He believes that Action and Solidarity is illegally introducing a state of emergency in Moldova, carrying out extrajudicial killings and transferring special powers to the special services.
“Let us not hide behind the Ukrainian tragedy every time in order to hide the main fact: the Republic of Moldova is governed by collaborators of a neighboring state. If there were people in Ukraine with a Russian passport who would say that Ukraine is a temporary project created by Lenin, the Ukrainian language does not exist, it is a dialect of Russian, how would such people be treated?
But our chairman of parliament, ministers, and the ruling majority in general say: our state is artificial, our language does not exist, we have a Romanian passport and our future is in Romania,” Tkachuk said.
