He announced this at a press conference following a meeting with the current OSCE Chairman Didier Burkhalter. “We were told all the time that our troops were being harassed at the Ukrainian border, we withdrew them, today they are not on the Ukrainian border, but in the places where they conduct their regular exercises, at the training ground,” the Russian President said.

“This can be easily verified with the help of today’s modern reconnaissance means, including everything visible from space,” added Vladimir Putin.

As Navigator reported, at the end of April, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Russian troops, drawn up for exercises to the Ukrainian border due to destabilization in the east of the country, returned to their places of permanent deployment.
