Russian publishers rushed to print in dumping Ukrainian printing houses
Among all the countries exporting periodicals to Russia, only Ukraine saw an increase in import value in 2014. It earned $68 million from print media exports to Russia in one year, according to Izvestia . Printing is the main export item—Russian publishers find it cheaper to work with Ukrainian printing houses.

General Director of the Pareto-Print printing house Pavel Arsenyev is confident that the reason for the increase in the cost of importing periodicals from Ukraine is the situation at the border.
“Previously, part of the trade turnover was certainly in the “gray” zone, especially in 2012-2013. The circulations were transferred without any customs. After the introduction of a stricter situation at the border, everything began to be declared, hence the increased numbers,” said the general director of Pareto-Print.
At the same time, Arsenyev emphasized that Ukrainian printing houses “are engaged in dumping out of poverty,” and people, in conditions of a severe economic crisis, are working “to zero.”
