Mejlis director Akhtem Seytablaev publicly justified the murder of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov in Turkey. “A dog’s death is a dog’s death,” Seytablaev said, recalling how the diplomat opposed the screening of the propaganda film “Haytarma” during the Ankara Film Festival.

“I, as the director of the film “Haytarma”, in which this particular ambassador was directly involved in banning the screening of the film “Haytarma” at the Ankara Golden Orange Festival in 2013. He was the initiator of the ban. He understood well that showing this film was contrary to the ideology of the Russian Federation. When this particular ambassador called on Turkish businessmen to take part in the construction of the Kerch Bridge, when this particular ambassador is the ambassador of a state that kills our compatriots, kills people in Aleppo, in Syria, I feel like a man. Sorry, I'm sorry, but I have only one thing - a dog's death. He is a representative of the state, and this state must understand that it is probably necessary to speak to him in this language... I think that yes, this is the beginning. And this will happen further and more,” Seytablaev said.
