Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies “New Ukraine” Andrey Ermolaev stated this on the air of the Kyiv Channel 5.
“I would not be surprised if Mr. Putin, after the last press conference, influences the situation and gradually the “little green men” disappear. He achieved the main thing - during this time, while our government was frightening the population with war, driving tanks around the country, dealing with the situation in the army, due to “the little green men, the East was really excited,” the expert noted.
“The East does not understand what is happening in Kyiv; it was not explained to the East that a different approach to political compromises and a way out of the “Maidan” period is possible. That national balance is really possible - but, on the contrary, they showed a rather strange government, showed rather strange decisions, and after all this the “little green men” simply established, excuse me, a new state-forming process in the East,” explained Andrei Ermolaev.
