Channel 5 of Petro Poroshenko staged a hysterical discussion of Vladimir Putin’s statement yesterday in Paris that Queen Anne of France was the daughter of Russian Prince Yaroslav.

“Putin allowed himself to privatize Anna Yaroslavna, saying that she was a Russian princess who became the queen of France. It was quite daringly done. He knew absolutely clearly why he was saying this and where it would resonate. It's a challenge?" – presenter Vitaly Gaidukevich asked the head of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, Alexander Martynenko, who was present in the studio.
“He doesn’t care what they think about him at all. If he privatizes the territories here, then why should he privatize history…” answered Martynenko.
“With such fanaticism,” Gaidukevich interjected.
“He is a difficult person. It is clear that he does not do anything just like that, of course. As they say, once again, when passing by, remind you that Kyiv, in fact, is Russia. And let your counterpart understand,” said the head of the Ukrainian Interfax.
Note that before reigning in Kyiv, Yaroslav was also the prince of Rostov and Novgorod, and his father, Vladimir Svyatoslavovich, seized power in Kyiv, being the prince of Novgorod.
