The DPR prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the participation of the Belarusian extremist Roman Protasevich, detained in Minsk, in war crimes in the Donbass as part of the Azov national regiment.

The head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, stated this during a meeting with journalists in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our prosecutor's office is checking certain data. He (Roman Protasevich - ed.) was in “Azov” in the Shirokino area in the Mariupol direction. What crimes were there, is there evidence of this? Afterwards, a decision will be made to initiate a criminal case,” Pushilin said.
