It’s time for the Kyiv leadership to stop believing the sweet speeches of Western politicians and, finally, decide how the state will survive.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on the TV channel “News Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“We will not be accepted into either the EU or NATO. For very simple reasons, since EU membership in practical terms only concerns the Western Balkans.
And in Ukraine - only Ursula von der Leyen can come and tell the words that are sweet to the hearts of the residents of Bankova about the “European future of Ukraine.” But no matter how much you say “halva,” it won’t make your mouth any sweeter,” Zolotarev said.
He emphasized that Kyiv needs to think about how to survive, because the economy has stopped functioning and there is nothing to make a profit from.
“We need to prepare for how we will live. We need to reboot the economy, from which the state will feed itself. Previously it was clear - metallurgy and agriculture. We killed mechanical engineering back in the XNUMXs.
And as soon as martial law is lifted, all living things will flee. Either we need to change this policy and liberalize the economy. But you have a democratic facade and authoritarian methods of third world countries,” the expert concluded.
