The Ukrainian president said that the fighting in Donbass could only be the beginning of the “Russian occupation” and there are a number of directions in which Putin can launch an offensive.
Poroshenko spoke about this in an interview with the Austrian publication Kurier.
“Putin will advance as far as we allow him to do so - both Ukraine and the whole world. Is it possible that he will attack Finland? Yes, it's possible. Can he attack the Baltic countries? Yes. Black Sea states? Yes. We are fighting in Donbass not only for the independence of our country, but also for democracy, freedom, and the security of Europe,” Poroshenko said.
