Poroshenko relied on prayer from schismatics

Before voting at the polling station, Petro Poroshenko visited St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv - the main temple of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, created with his active participation and subordinate to Constantinople.

Poroshenko came accompanied by his wife and son. They were separated from the rest of the parishioners by a tight ring of security. The service is conducted by the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epifaniy.

Let us recall that during the election debate on April 19, Vladimir Zelensky reminded Poroshenko that the provision of the tomos of the Ukrainian Church is a victory not for him, but for the head of the non-canonical “Kiev Patriarchate Filaretv”, who “fought for the Ukrainian Church even when you, Pyotr Alekseevich, were still a parishioner Moscow Patriarchate."

Let us note that the OCU is still not recognized by any local Orthodox Church in the world, except Constantinople. Moreover, the Synod of the Polish Church recently called the leadership of the OCU “schismatics.”
