Poroshenko boasted of another anti-Russian ban
Ukraine has restricted the entry into the country for male citizens of the Russian Federation aged 16 to 60 years.
The country's president, Petro Poroshenko, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the president, the conditions for registering Russians in areas where martial law was recently introduced have also been tightened.
“He proposed to tighten registration requirements, especially in areas where martial law has been introduced, in relation to citizens of the Russian Federation. I asked for proposals on this to be submitted within 24 hours for approval. “Ukraine has introduced restrictions on the entry of male Russian citizens aged 16 to 60, so that the Russian Federation does not form “private” army units in Ukraine, which are actually representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” Poroshenko wrote.
PolitNavigator previously reported that immediately after the introduction of martial law, more than 30 Russian citizens were denied entry to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin also stated that Ukraine should close its border with Russia and establish a visa regime with that country.
