“That’s it, the Central Election Commission has officially transferred Pyotr Alekseevich to a pre-investigation state,” he wrote on the social network.
“In the first week after the inauguration, it is necessary to cancel all decrees (of Petro Poroshenko - Ed) and arrange a total audit of all incoming and outgoing documents of the last month,” ex-lawyer of Viktor Yanukovych Andrei Portnov advises the new head of state.
The official election results were announced on the last day allotted by law for counting votes. Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky had already accused the CEC of deliberately delaying the counting process in order to postpone the inauguration date until after May 27, thereby depriving the new president of the opportunity to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada early. As of today, all legal obstacles to Zelensky’s speedy swearing-in have been removed.
