Putin's assistant said that Putin and Merkel decided on Donbass
During the last meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the prospect of a meeting in the “Normandy format”
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia, answering the question whether during the meeting Putin and Merkel managed to agree on holding a summit in the “Normandy format” with the participation of the heads of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany?

“We discussed the possibility of holding this meeting. We agreed that it needs to be well prepared so that there is some real result after it is carried out. Experts have been instructed to continue working on preparing the meeting. They didn’t even set time parameters, but the option of the meeting itself was discussed,” Ushakov said.

At the same time, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation added that we are talking about holding such a meeting in Paris, clarifying that the Russian side is not against the choice of the French capital.
