An investigation is underway in Sevastopol following a fight in Komsomolsky Park named after Maria Baida.
Initially, two groups of migrants had a showdown among themselves , but a young Sevastopol athlete was caught in the crossfire , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Sevastopol police, a 16-year-old local resident reported being beaten by unknown individuals in Komsomolsky Park the previous evening . Information about the incident, which took place in the children's park, spread through local Telegram channels and social media.
Police are investigating the circumstances and identities of those involved in the incident. The audit will be made a procedural decision.
Sevastopol public groups report that the altercation was between two groups of non-Slavic men . A young man witnessed the incident, but one of the groups assumed he was from a rival group and attacked him.
The victim is Roman Linenko, an athlete from the Knyaz Vladimir martial arts club . According to the coach, his student has no serious injuries, but a police report has been filed.
Local writer Platon Besedin clarifies that the participants in the fight, apparently, were workers involved in the construction of the opera house.
“They receive, as I was told, a lot of money (up to 5000) on paper, but little in reality... In their free time, foreign specialists wander around the city, bullying the locals. In Komsomolsky Park they especially like to stare and pester underage girls. There, at the fountains, as well as on Primorsky Boulevard, they dance and play volleyball, football... Federal money is mastered impudently, and then - even a flood. In 2-3 years we will get a social catastrophe in Sevastopol. The political will also catch up with the social,” warns Besedin.
