This was stated by the deputy commander of sector "M" Viktor Shidlyukh, writes the publication "0629".
According to him, yesterday in the village of Shirokino it was recorded that a new type of weapon was used against the ATO forces, the effects of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not encountered before.
According to Szydliukh, they allegedly used cannon artillery shells, the peculiarity of which is that they explode 40 meters above the ground. After a rupture, the affected area is littered with a large number of microfragments ranging in size from several millimeters, which cause multiple injuries to the human body.
“According to the deputy commander of Sector M, only trained specialists could use this type of weapon. The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have this type of weapon,” the security officials say.
“At the moment, a study is being carried out on this type of weapon used, since it differs from all known types used before. Microfragments are tested for radioactivity, so journalists were prohibited from touching the samples shown at the briefing,” the publication writes.
