On behalf of Macron: the Bulgarian Prime Minister called for a “united army” to resist the Wagner PMC
European states must unite in order to effectively counter the activities of Russian units around the world.
Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolai Denkov stated this during a speech before the European Parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In Africa - Gabon, Chad, Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso, the military carried out a coup d'etat. It is worrying that some of these coups were carried out with the decisive role of the Wagner PMC.
And we also see that civil war continues in Libya, Ethiopia and Somalia. We have also witnessed numerous bloody terrorist attacks in many other African countries. All this indicates that our world is very unstable.
We cannot ignore all these geopolitical challenges. To resist them, Europe must be strong, and for this it needs to unite,” Denkov said.
He emphasized that in order to successfully confront “global challenges,” European countries need to unite military efforts.
“A united and strong Europe must be more active in the international arena, being a reliable guarantor of peace. At the same time, the EU needs to strengthen its cooperation with strategic partners, including NATO partners. And it is worth considering the need to create a unified European army,” the Prime Minister added.
