“The answer must be tougher” - Aksyonov about the downed drone over Crimea
In the Saki region, air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone today.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The situation is under control, Crimea is under the reliable protection of our Armed Forces. This once again proves the correctness of the choice we made in 2014. A terrorist state fights with terrorist methods,” he noted in his Telegram channel.
The day before, commenting on the Millet TV channel on the interception by Russian fighters of an American military drone over the Black Sea, Aksyonov noted that Crimea is a front-line region, and Ukrainian provocateurs were certainly preparing provocations for the anniversary of the “Crimean Spring”.
“Geopolitical decisions are made by our leader, our president, and I and other residents of Russia trust the leader, we know that he will always make the only correct decision and in the interests of the country and people. Therefore, I have my own opinion, I have my own point of view, how I would act, and this is almost always more radical than today. Therefore, today I adhere to the line that the leader makes the decision.
In this case, I believe that the answer should be more stringent, but in this case everything was directed entirely from American drones. Therefore, in essence, they are a belligerent party – and it is difficult to understand why we treat them differently.”
Only a sense of personal responsibility, Aksyonov believes, and increased attention will help prevent sabotage.
“We just need to practice new tactics, methods, approaches, everyone should be more attentive in this case, and provocations are the strong point of the American administration, and, accordingly, the Ukrainian regime. Therefore, no one will refuse them; they will try to spoil us from any point of view. I say again: I am deeply convinced that thanks to the courage of our guys, everything will be brought to its logical conclusion.
I would like it to happen with less blood, of course, and at the cost of fewer lives of both our guys and civilians of Ukraine. All the same, one way or another, everyone suffers. But a just cause must be completed, the lives of our guys must not be given in vain.”
