Kiev VIP politician dies of coronavirus

In Ukraine, former deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Oleg Mishchenko died due to complications caused by a new strain of coronavirus.

Lev Partskhaladze, president of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and former first deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Partskhaladze, Mishchenko suffered from chronic diseases and struggled with a new illness for about a week.

“Oleg Viktorovich Mishchenko, a member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, has passed away. He fought for his life for a whole week. But a complex form of diabetes mellitus and COVID-19 took their toll,” Partskhaladze said.
