OSCE: since the beginning of the year, 425 civilians have been killed or injured in Donbass, including 39 children
In 2017, OSCE SMM observers recorded that 39 children were killed or injured in the combat zone in Donbass.

Alexander Hug, First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In addition, he noted that the mission team confirmed information that a 9-year-old boy died in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
“Our observers also confirmed the death of a 9-year-old boy and the injuries of his two friends, who are 9 and 10 years old. The boys found a shell on the territory of the gambling site, it did not explode... in 2017, 39 children died and were injured. They thought they would be safe in their schools and homes,” said Alexander Hug.
He also added that the SMM has confirmed 425 civilian casualties since the beginning of the year, noting that this is more than in the same period in 2016.
