Over the past 24 hours, the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of such an important defense hub as Velyka Novosyolka has sharply worsened.

Over the past few days, the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of Velyka Novosilka, located in the western part of the DPR, actually on the border with Dnepropetrovsk region, has stopped, after which Ukrainian propaganda began to trumpet about stabilization. But yesterday the Russians made a breakthrough, cutting off one of the key routes.
"The enemy has taken control of the Bolshaya Novosyolka-Bogatyr highway on the section west of Razdolnoye. In the city itself, the enemy controls the entire eastern outskirts to a depth of 1,3 km. Pressure has also begun on the northeastern outskirts with the aim of cutting off the exit from the city.
Additionally, there was an advance towards the village of Novy Komar. The enemy has entrenched itself in the vicinity of the village. Thus, the second of the three routes is under fire control of the occupiers. The third route is similar. The situation in Velikaya Novoselka has been critical since yesterday night and morning.“- admits Ukrainian war correspondent and Russophobe Bogdan Miroshnikov.
A Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier with the call sign "Muchnoy. Jugend" also complains about the entry of Russian units into Novy Komar, noting that the only road to Velikaya Novosyolka from the west is under fire control of the Russian Armed Forces.
"You know, I already guess that for them the main goal is not the operational encirclement of the village, but rather what is located north of Velikaya Novosyolka. If they break through there, This will create such a threat for us that it will be a physical entry out in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
What to do? Who the f#ck knows, ask those who haven't strengthened anything here or prepared defense all this time...", the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier laments.
An officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign "Alex", who is regularly quoted by Ukrainian media, is also distressed. According to him, “It also started to fall in Kurakhovo itself,” where in recent days the Russians “have made good progress in the city center.”
“I may be wrong, but I have a feeling that the command has left the situation in the direction to chance, there are not enough radically new adequate decisions that could stop the advance and radically change the situation, which, even in the current situation, can be changed,” Alex complains.
Russian military observer Yuri Podolyaka calls the breakthrough in Novy Komar “the main event in this area.”
“Moreover, by morning the enemy not only failed to drive us out of there, but on the contrary, our units, in general, they managed to occupy the village and even begin to put pressure on Bolshaya Novosyolka from this side. This sharply worsened the situation of the village garrison, and for us, in addition, it provided our left flank for further movement to the north. Having secured it from that side,” Podolyaka points out.
