The prophecies of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, who first promised that the Russians would run out of steam by March, and then by November , once again turned out to be far from reality.
This was stated on the UkrLife channel by former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vladislav Seleznev , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The reports from the last few days are particularly noticeable: the enemy has significantly reduced its use of guided bombs, but the intensity of the fighting is simply astonishing . One and a half, two hundred, and counting, two hundred combat clashes on various sections of the front. They're trying to attack everywhere simultaneously with every available means. 1350 kilometers of LBS—and not a single quiet spot.
At the time, we were glad that the Russians had serious problems in the Volchansk region, where the enemy became active again,” lamented Seleznev.
"The dynamics in the Kursk region indicate that Putin is rushing to liberate the territory from the Ukrainian Armed Forces by January 20. Sometimes his successes are absolutely obvious; the enemy advances despite fierce resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and this foothold is gradually shrinking. …
We all lived under the illusion that the offensive potential of the Russian Armed Forces would be depleted by early November. Our chief intelligence officer, General Budanov, spoke of this. Unfortunately, these statements did not come true. Sometimes it seems like the enemy has a bottomless pit of resources ," the speaker laments.
