Western propaganda hides the true reasons for the war in Ukraine - to weaken and establish control over Russia in order to trade its resources.
This was stated on air by geopolitical expert Nikola Merkovic on the French channel Frontières, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Many American wars are fueled by propaganda; we're never told the truth. The media spends a minute or two explaining the situation, and then moves on to sports or the news. And we haven't had the necessary debates, just jumped to conclusions ."

"So when Americans say there needs to be a war somewhere, there's good reason to find out if it's true. Because we've been lied to many times.
We came to war in Ukraine for the simple reason that the US does not need a powerful Russia. They do not need a competitor. I think Russia would like to return to the old model, but they have been made to understand that this is impossible.
It's too big and rich, so the US views Russia as a country to be dominated . They are not equal partners.
And Ukraine served this plan of a part of the American elite to try to weaken Russia,” the expert added.
