“Don’t raise your head”: Russian artillery is sweeping away the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – Rada deputy
The massive use of Russian artillery does not allow the Ukrainian infantry to raise their heads.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yegor Firsov stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are air strike UAVs, we work a little further [from the combat line]. It’s also very difficult for the guys, now the enemy’s priority is groups of fpv drones, they don’t even regret sending aircraft.
And it’s very difficult for the infantry. No matter what I say, “very difficult” is just two words, but in reality it simply cannot be conveyed. When large-caliber artillery charges arrive so that the earth really shakes, it falls nearby, and people even underground get shell shock.
And this is not just one shot, these are volleys of infantry that can sit in trenches for hours and days. There are also those who cannot stand it psychologically, it is - oh, how difficult it is. The conditions are simply hellish,” Firsov said.
He emphasized that after such shelling it becomes simply impossible to hold some positions.
“Sometimes, when you hear that we [the Ukrainian Armed Forces] have withdrawn, sometimes there is simply nothing left of the land, no dugouts, no fortifications. All this is turning into some kind of mess,” the deputy summed up.
