Defender of Soviet monuments found dead in Lvov
The leader of the Galician Rus Federation of Scouts, Kirill Arbatov, was found dead in one of the villages of the Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. The funeral will take place today.
The former leader of the Russian movement in Ukraine, now in Russia, Alexander Svistunov, told PolitNavigator about this.

“There is a version that he hanged himself, but this is just a version. There are a lot of versions. Nobody really knows anything. Perhaps there was a conflict on ethnic grounds. We do not exclude the possibility that he was hanged. Because the situation there is getting worse. Nationalism is blooming in full bloom,” Svistunov said.
He clarified that Arbatov maintained close contacts with the Russian Consulate in Lvov.
The Federation of Scouts “Galician Rus” was engaged in the restoration of Soviet monuments in Lviv: the graves of scout Nikolai Kuznetsov and the hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Marchenko, the monument “Grieving Motherland”, the monument to soldiers who fell during the First World War, the mass grave of Soviet tank crews - the crew of the T tank -34-76. All monuments were regularly attacked by vandals.
