There is no money left in Ukraine to buy gas for the winter
NJSC Naftogaz does not have the funds to fill Ukrainian gas storage facilities to the declared volumes.

The chairman of the supervisory board of the Institute of Energy Strategies, Yuriy Korolchuk, wrote about this in his blog on the Observer website, noting that today the issue of pumping an additional five billion cubic meters of gas into Ukrainian storage facilities remains open.
“The fact is that NJSC Naftogaz has no real money now,” the expert admits. – Alternatively, you can borrow $500 million from Oschadbank, but this could entail serious consequences, in particular, further devaluation of the hryvnia. Another way is European loans, but to get them, you need to act quickly in order to pump in the required amount of fuel by winter.”
At the same time, Korolchuk believes that the 13 billion already pumped should be enough for the winter, but additional volumes are needed to insure against potential risks.
Ukraine has no money left to buy gas for the winter.
