Speaking at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of Faction Leaders and Committee Chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the head of the parliamentary committee on health issues, Olha Bogomolets, called on the government to stop deceiving the public about healthcare reforms, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“People gave a clear assessment of the work of the authorities, this crazy deception in the healthcare system. Pseudo-reforms that they tried to impose on people as health care reforms, but in reality it’s just access to a family doctor. This could not be called reforms. I appeal to everyone, both to the current president and to the future: please stop blocking real reform for the people. Put the law on compulsory state insurance to a vote. How much can we talk about reforms when 70% of cancer patients do not have a chance to survive? 70% of patients with cardiovascular diseases do not have a chance to survive, half of children with cancer do not have government support. Let’s stop deceiving people,” she said.
